Overview
XR Box, an extensive education and testing framework
XR Box was designed to be a new educational platform that would take students through a series of courses and quizzes. When a student logs in using the VR application using their email and password, they'd be associate to a list of schools and courses they have access to. Each course was comprise of several lessons and each lesson was made of standard HD videos, audio files, 360 videos, and 360 photos. Quizzes could be inserted at various times in the video and have many questions that would be multiple choice or, spatially answered. For example, a laboratory video would be playing and the video pauses at a designated time and ask a question. Where is the safety violation here? The student would then physically look around and point and click at the hazard. Every aspect of the course, lesson, quiz, media was all configured through a website built using Ruby on Rails. This was built using Unity 3D, C#, RenderHeads, AWS, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and Heroku.
